Show J PAUK the city council has acted wisely in securing the ball park for the use of the citizens as a place where public out door amusements can be held it would moul dhave have been a calamity almost for that piece of ground round to have gone into private hands and if a couple of rows ron s of trees were ere now nov planted around the edge so that sports and games could be watched by spectators sheltered from the heat beat of the summer sun oodles of citizens will rise up and call the city council blessed some there are who say that the school trustees ask too much for the ground but what if that be true the price is not much if any above the average price of ground in that vicinity and if so the school district distrI Lt is still getting the benefit so that it is much like taking money from one pocket and putting it in the other the point is that the ground has been secured by the city and it should be made pleasant by the planting of trees and a border of grass |
