Show Hyrum Perry Honored On 88th Birthday Hyrum Perry, lifelong resident of Springville and Mapleton, celebrated cele-brated his eighty-eighth birthday last Wednesday with a lawn party par-ty given at the home of Mr and Mrs. John I. Holley at Mapleton. A large group of relatives spent the afternoon visiting and enjoying a delicious lunch. Attending from out of town were Mr. Perry's daughter, Mrs. A. Li Curtis and granddaughter Cathy of Nephi; also Wanda Holley of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Holley and son Dennis of Spanish Fork. Mr. Perry was born in Springville Spring-ville Aug. 13, 1859, and has made his home in Springville and Mapleton Maple-ton during his entire life. He has always taken active part in church work and civic affairs. During his earlier life he served on two missions mis-sions and at one time was a member mem-ber of the district school board. His wife, Mrs. Luella R. Perry, whom he married March 13, 1884, died in 1936. Mrs Curtis is his only living daughter and he has six grandchildren grand-children and six great-grandchildren. |
