The money question is one that is generally of interest, and the first ex M tract that we shall present will be the amount of the salaries of the eity oM- HJ cers, and the fees and amount of com- pensatlon of servants of the eity Unit do not draw salaries. B The salaries ot all city ofllccrs shall Hi. be paid monthly out of the general gener-al ally fund ot the city, upon order of the m city council, and shall be in full com-B' com-B' pensatlon for all bervices of every kind B aud description of .the olllcers named B herein; provided that all officers shall B rcclcye, in addition to their salaries, B their1 actual and necessary expensts In B curred in the performance of their otti-B otti-B cial' duties; provided, further, that an B itemized statemcut bhall be made and B filed with the city recorder which statu-' B ment shall show in detail the expense B so incurred, and shall be subscribed HJ- - and sworn to by the officer claiming B- such expenses; and provided, further B that the city council shall notuuthorize HJ- the payment of the salary of any city HJi officer for any mouth until satisfied HJ that such ofllcer has made the settle-B settle-B ment aud preformed all the other duties fl of his office as required by law and the B ordinances of this city. B See. 340. Fees Poundkceper.
