Show IN PATH OF STORM.; Many Person Killed by Tornado In Oklahoma, Arkansaa and Tessa. Six people were killed by a tornado which awept through the county alMiut four mllea aouth of Prior Creek, I. T., Sunday night. Report! have booi received re-ceived that a number of othore were Injured. The sti,rm started near Choteau, on the Missouri A Texas, eight mllea from Prior Crock, and awept to the northeast, rutting a path from one-half one-half to a mile wide, and about twenty mllea long. The Abbott home was demolished and the four membero of the family Instantly hilled. The atorm then atrurk the Dealy home, blowing It to pieces, killing the young son and probably fatally Injuring the fnthor. At Fairfield, I. T., several business houses wero destroyed and six per aona killed outright. Three of those Injured will die. Farm houses and barns In the path of the storm wero demolished, and there waa a terrible lusa of farm alork. A dispatch from Pine muffs, Ark., snya a tornado passed over Jefferson county, killing two children and doing heavy property dnmago. At Fherrlll many bulldlnga wero blown down. A tornado pnased three mllea east of Mexla. Tex., Monday, demolishing four residences and did much minor damage. Miss jVnnlu Shanks was probably fatally and aeveral othcra aorlously hurt. |
