Sales of new Chevrolet Six cars and trucks in the second ten days of September went slightly ahead of the first ten days of the month, according to dealer reports to H. J. Klingler, and general sales manager of the company, the latter announced just recently. Sales for the second peiiod were 8,573 units as compared with 8,529 in the first ten days, which was the fourth consecutive reporting period to show a gain over the corresponding period of the previous month The total of 17,102 cars and trucks- reported sold up to September 20th, promises to run total sales for the month ahead of the projected quota by several thousand cars. The unexpected and unseas-ona- l upturn in Chevrolets sales since late July depleted dealers stocks of new cars so much that by the middle of September a shortage developed in a number of sales zones in several of the fastest selling models In the line, Mr. Klingler stated. To round out stocks, 10,000 cars were added to the September manufacturing schedule and rushed into the field so that the dealers could make immediate delivery on all models. ..... X ......
