Show Wo are in receipt of a letter from our friend Handle D. Jones, of this city, who is at present laboring in tho Eastern East-ern States mission at the hoad quarters ot tho church in that place. Elder Jones seems to be qui to contented with his lot and remarks In passing, that owing to tho fact that ho frequently sees pcoplo from our section, ho is kept from getting homo sick, and that it seems but a short tlmo slnco ho was with us. IIo was visited by Elder Samuel Sam-uel W. Leigh as he passad through that part ot tho country on his way to Europe. Eu-rope. Brother Jones informs us that ho is uoj cut out for a public speaker; but If ho speaks as well as ho writes his . hearers .ought not to complain.
