I A, jf The weather permitting, the Scout and Vanguard Ice Tournament will be held on the Comer pond on Saturday, December 29. Committees are working to have the pond cleared of rushes and flooded In order to have the ice in first class condition for the scouts and vanguards to have tryouts on the pond Saturday of this week. If the ice is in condition the tournament will be held on December 29. .There will be contest races, hockey games, relays and possibly some fancy skating. The program has not been entirely worked out. It Is planned to have representatives from all .scout and vanguard troops In Lehl take part in the contests. Details will be announced next week. The Are was noticed about 3:30 and rapidly destroyed the building and stock. Firemen made a quick run and worked hard to save something from the garage but the stock of oils and other inflamable materials were soon blazing beyond control. A Ford coupe belong-i- n g to Ralph Worlton in the garage for repairs was also burned. Neighbors arriving on the scene before the fire department, using garden hose saved the new home of Harmon Vance, on the lot adjoining the garage. Exploding tanks of oil threw flames and sparks high into the air and the fire furnished sleepy citizens, who of DR.
