Show EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE. Editor Leader -- The Educational Institute of Cache county met per adjournment in the Logan City Hall. Opened with prayer by J.F. [J.T.?] Carlisle. Minutes of October 11th read and adopted. Miss Langton was appointed critic for the day. The miscellaneous business being disposed of the programme for the day was carried out as follows. Address by Robert Leatham, on the "Duties of Trustees," a Declaration, by J.F [J.T.?] Carlisle, which was well delivered; Mrs. Hyde conducted a recitation in the Third Reader in an interesting manner; the critic's report was given in an instructive and interesting style. The programme for the second Saturday in December was approved as follows: Lecture on Zo-ology [Zoology] by Mrs. I.I. [I.L.?] Cook; Lesson in Elocution by Mr. Howells; Essay on English Language, Joseph A. Smith; Lesson in English Grammar, by Miss Langton; Lesson in Percentage, by T Thompson [I. Thoreson.?] Next in order was election of officers for the following terms: Jos. [Joseph] A. Smith was elected President; John Donaldson Donoldson, Vice-President; Mattie Blair, Secretary and Treasurer; J. F. Carlisle, Librarian. Adjourned till the second Saturday in December.
