Show I ! MORONI ! I By Specal Corespondence Emmert Draper and Niels Blackburn of the U. S. Army are happy to be home again, since receiving an honorable discharge and Keith Storey of the U. S. Army left Wednesday, after spending a ten days furlough with relatives and friends at Moroni. Mo-roni. The newly appointed West ward Relief society officers held a social last Tuesday in honor of the outgoing officers. A delightful de-lightful program was enjoyed, after which delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served. There was a big crowd in attendance. A party in honor of Gene Wilkey of Nephi, who is home on a furlough was enjoyed at the home of Miss Hazel Jensen last Sunday evening. Delicious refreshments were servied. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Christen -sen returned home Staurday from Provo, after spending a few days with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cox, whose little two-year old son, Douglas, has been stricken strick-en with Polio and is in a Salt Lake hospital. At the last report he was in a critical condition. Those attending Snow College this winter from Moroni are: Miss Garvene Faux, Helen Olson, Electa Robertson, Marcelline Bailey and Betty Despain. The East and West ward Primary Pri-mary association met conjointly conjoint-ly for their annual Halloween party Tuesday evening in the "Old Bungalow." The time was spent in various kinds of entertainment, enter-tainment, after -which the evening eve-ning was spent in dancing. All the children came in Halloween costumes. The "Lazy Daisy" club met Monday evening at the home of Miss Mary Anderson, where they enjoyed sewing, after which delicious de-licious refreshments were served Virginia Christensen was a spe cial guest. A Halloween party was held last Tuesday evening at the home of Miss Hazel Jensen', where all guests came in costumes appropriate appro-priate for the occasion. They enjoyed playing games, after which delicious refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Dice and and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Dice of Cedar Rapids, Iowa were guests for several days mis week at the home of Mrs. Ida Dice. They left Monday for California. A Halloween party was held last Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Morley in honor of Miss Lucy Nielson of Provo, the occasion being her 14th birthday anniversary. The time was spent in playing games, all appropriate for Halloween. After the games were played delicious de-licious refreshments were served to twelve guests. Mr. and Mrs. Arva Sorenson of Manti are rejoicing over the safe arrival of a baby boy, born on October 25th. They are at the Dice hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Anderson attended funeral services on Wednesday for her brother-in-la, Homer C. Rasmussen at Eph-raim, Eph-raim, Utah. |
