Those students who are now in preparation to leave home during September for further schooling are Darrel Crawford, Arva Dean Eliott, La Rae Ellett, Jo Ann Hix-o- n from Columbia, Alice Hanson, Marjorie Monroe Marries Engineer Dies In Long Beach Hospital Warren C. Welty Drager Walter L. Drager, 64, of 1919 Maine Ave., who as chief engineer of the Defense Plant Corp., direct ed operations of some 1500 plants during World War II and for whom Dragerton, Utah, was named, died Monday night in a Long Beach hospital. (The name was first Drager later changed to Dragerton be cause of the confusion with Draper, Utah.) Mr. Drager, a civil engineer, attended the University of California and Cornell University. He was chief engineer for the Calles Dam project of Mexico in 1930. He became associated with the Reconstruction Finance Corp. in 1932, working first as chief engineer for the bureaus Self Liquidating Division. Mr. Drager, born in Hamilton, 111., came to Long Beach five years ago after completing 16 years with the RFC. Mr. Drager was a member of the Masonic order, University Club of Washington, D. C., and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is survived by his wife, Alice; a son, Donal' G. of Washington, D. C.; two daughters, Mrs. Susan Lawshe of Washington and Mrs. Alice Fussell of Norwalk, and eight grandchildren'. Private services were conducted at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rummage Sale A Episcopal Church A Rummage Sale, including a large assortment of clothing, especially childrens clothing, will be held at Trinity Episcopal 1 Church on September from 10-1- m. to 5 p. m. The sale is being sponsored by the Trinity Guild. Clothing has been gathered, mended, washed and pressed by the members of the Guild. Besides the large selection of childrens and adult clothing in excellent household condition, 9 a. furnishings, costume jewelry, accessories and many other items will be offered for sale.
