Temperatures have been unseasonably hot this year. Summer temperatures came as early as May, and June was as hot as July has been in past years. As temperatures continue to remain high the Lakeside Review interviewed some county residents to see what theyre doing to keep their cool in the heat. Richard Briscoe West Point - Dutch-ove- n Cooking outside an awful lot on the outdoor gas cooking, cooking stove and a barbecue. I do all of my cooking outside. I do a lot of the cooking, I do the major portion of it. It keeps the house nice and cool that way. Aiyssa Cottle Kaysville I eat a lot of Popsicles and drink a lot of water. Our air conditioner doesnt work. I stay up late and spend a lot of time outside. I eat any kind of Popsicles. Actually I find if I dont avoid (the heat) too much I adjust to it. If you sit in the cool too much then you never adjust to it. Im not out the hottest part of the day, but in the late morning when it is starting to get hot I still go walking and stuff like that. The heat isnt bothering me much. I wear loose clothes. I dress cool and do my walking early in the morning or late at night when its beautiful. Then at home we just put lots of water in the cooler and turn on fans and sleep a lot. Im just kidding, I dont sleep hardly at all, its too hot. We eat lots of Otter Pops.
