Necessity being the mother of invention prompted perky Judy Coiner, Mountain View, Cal., to tie a clothesline onto the raised trunk lid and fill the new well with water. A washboard and determent de-terment completed the "laundry room" for washing out those things which neerfod washing during a motor trip. "It worked quite well," said Judy, "ve didn't have to carry an extra washtub." Mrs. Martha Adams is making a visit in Delta with her son Cameron Camer-on Adams, and family, where her many friends are cordially invited to call. Of U. with Honors A local student has applied for graduation from the University of Utah sporting a grade-point average aver-age of better than 3.5. The student Is Mary Warnick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Warnick of Delta. A 4.0 average at the University of Utah represents straight A work. It was wonderful having Lelfa Maxfield back with us in the Primary Pri-mary and Relief Society work. Monday was Primary in Callao-Trout Callao-Trout Creek branch chapel. After opening exercises we had a Valentine Val-entine party. Tuesday, Callao children were guests at Gandy school. Games, dancing, refreshments and a show were all fitted into the afternoon. It was a perfect day for the children child-ren to long remember. "Last Sunday we had stake visitors vis-itors with us. Eugene Young and family, from Abraham, Thomas Pratt and family, from Oak City, and Eugene Gardner, from Delta, presented an inspiring program at Sacrament meeting. We appreciate the good work that our stake officers of-ficers are doing, We should all be grateful for our stake's achievements, achieve-ments, We understand that Mary Bates is improving more and more all the time. The Bates family is renting a home in Delta. Mary Bates Is now home with part of her family. This is great progress and good news! Mrs. Mearna Lee was operated on for a goiter, in Salt Lake City, last Monday. It la reported she is doing just fine. Buster and Myrtle Tlmm went to Salt Lake City, Monday. The doctor doc-tor removed a small growth from Myrtle's chin. They returned shortly short-ly after. She's out doing chores Phi Kappa Phi, a National Honorary Honor-ary Society. The Phi Kappa Phi Society honors hon-ors seniors and graduate students in any field of knowledge who are in the upper ten percent of their graduating class, - Miss Warnick is a graduate .of Delta High School, and has been majoring in nursing while at the University. It was their wedding wed-ding anniversary. The affair was a program and supper. Callao-Trout Creek LDS branch chapel was the place. You have to admit it. Mrs. Chris Christensen and son, Reed and daughter Reva, former residents of our area, now living in Montana, visited old friends, Monday. Mrs. Bonnie Petersen visited her mother, Mrs, Zola Bunker. Elsie Jensen spent a week in Los Angeles, She made the trip with Mr, and Mrs. Garff Maxfield, who were here for Garff's grandmother grand-mother Stapley's funeral. Mrs. Arlene DeLeeuw and children, child-ren, Kim and Becki, and Miss Gay Ogden, of Murray, visited the Ivo Ogden's, Sunday. Kim stayed for a longer visit. Brother and Sister LaVoy Kirn-ball, Kirn-ball, of Fillmore, visited our Sacra ment meeting, Sunday night, where Brother Kimball was the speaker, Elsie Jensen and Dana Kay Ogden Og-den spent Tuesday and Wednesday visiting In Salt Lake City. Mrs, -La Veil Johnson visited her mother, in Springville, Saturday, Mrs, Ivo Ogden visited In Orem with Mr, and Mrs. Ronald Mecham and Mr. and Mrs. Dwlght Miller, and" family, Beverly Mecham returned re-turned to visit a week. Several of our ward members went to Manti to do temple work. Those going were Mr. and Mrs. Cutler Henrie, Bishop and Mrs. Max Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson, John-son, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Erick-sen, Erick-sen, Pat Barney, Amon Johnson, Laurence Abbott and Lester Johnson. School Children,' 4th Grade Up, Invited To Youth Concert All school children of the Fourth Grade and up are invited to third and last Utah Symphony "Youth Concert," which will be presented Saturday, February 25, at the Salt Lake Tabernacle. Douglas Craig of the symphony will be the bassoon soloist in "The American v Serenade" by . Burrill Philips. Douglas is a teacher in the city schools. John Whittaker, baritone, bari-tone, will be soloist in Robinson-LaTouche's Robinson-LaTouche's "Ballad for Americans."
