Mrs. Ellen Timothy, who has been on the sick list for the past week, is reported much improved at this writing. Mr. Dee Hambleton has sold his property in Upalco and will move back onto his farm 'in Ioka. Mrs. Olive Sorensen visited her daughter, Mrs. Dick Fausett, at Upalco Sunday afternoon. Violet Gentry Mrs. Bertha Angus Mr. and Mrs. Max Hartman and family, of Duchesne, spent Sunday of last week with Mrs. Hartmans parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lemon. Alden Carrol, of Altonah, was transacting business in Ioka on Wednesday. Mrs. O. A. Dart and son, Willis, spent Saturday in Vernal. While there Willis had dental work done. It is reported that Clarence Jones and Miss Roberta Skinner were married Wednesday, Mar. 5 in Los Vegas, Nevada. Clarence is the son of Mrs. Celia Jones, of Ioka. Mrs. J. B. Altamont played its final basketball game of the season, with Uintah, on February 28th. A dance was enjoyed after the game. Mr. and Mrs. Silas Morrell were in Vernal one day last week. Ray Walker has left for California for a weeks vacation. A very large crowd of young folks and their leaders gathered at the Mt. Emmons ward hall for a banquet on Wednesday, March 5. It was put on by the Aaronic Priesthood and L.D.S. girls. A very delicious dinner was served, under the supervision of Evelyn Pace, of Boneta. A dance was enjoyed afterwards. Bob Lindsey was operated on in the Heber hospital for appendicitis, Edwin and Ron Farnsworth and Harold Stevenson were in Roosevelt last Monday.
