Mr. and Mrs. Verl Andersen were in Salt Lake City over the weekend with their children. This is an educational contest in which the girls can learn to improve their sewing skills and have an opportunity of modeling their own creations. Last year we were fortunate in having a national winner from our district. Miss Linda Sistrunk toured Europe this summer as her reward for winning. Prizes went to Margaret Bess and Lola 4 K lllli' k IMIIIiniiatllMMII MISS JANENE ABEL Engagement of Janene Abel And Richard Hales Announced Mr. and Mrs. Roy Abel of Tremonton are happy to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their Bothwell Honors Ward Bishops by Karen Stokes large crowd of Bothwell residents and former residents attended the Ward banquet Friday evening. Six of the eight former bishops of the Bothwell Ward were honored during the evening. They were Clarence Andrson, now living in Trenton, D. Milton Marble, now living in Clearfield, Deloris Stokes, Firth, Leo Stokes and Bishop Virgil Anderson. The family of Clarence Summers of Salt Lake City was also present. Richard is a graduate of the local high school and Seminary, and has served a two year mission in the Eastern States. Nev., a Walter O. and Walker Davis. He married Alvaretta Harmon, Oct. 10. 1899 'in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Sugar City and Rexburg, Ida., until they moved to Tremonton 12 years ago. Mrs. Davis died June 6, 1962. An active church worker all his life, Mr. Davis worked as ward and stake clerk for more than 20 years, and was active in genealogy work for many years. Before his retirement, he was a banker, a probate judge, and clerk of the board of county commissioners, all in Idaho. He is proud of his seven daughters and five sons, his 32 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. A dinner was held by members of his family in Rig-bIda., to celebrate the occasion and the birthday of one of his daughters, Caddie D. Jenkins of Rexburg, Ida. Attending the event were Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Rytting, Tremonton; Mr. and Mrs. Dee Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Jan-seMiss Dorall of Rexburg othy Kelly, Big Sur, Calif., and the two guests of honor.
