Former Squadron Member Here Among the masses of people gathered to welcome the Memphis Belle and her crew Monday night was one soldier who had an intense personal interest in the plane said her crew. He is Sgt. Bernard P. McEnany tof Salt Lake City, who was a crew ' member of the "Mary Jane," a sister ship of the squadron in England, and who lost a leg while on a bombing mission. He was driven from Bushnell general Hospital to Hill Field in order to renew his comradeship with his squadron buddies. Major Morgan and his crew insisted that Sgt McEnany have a place on the speakers' platform with them, and he reluctantly 'agreed. During the ceremonies, Major Morgan presented Sgt. McEnany with a trophy sent back by the "Mary Jane" crew which was inscribed with their names and a tribute. Major Morgan bespoke the mod-- , esty of the entire crew, all of whom have been decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross, 'and the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, when he expressed the opinion that it was easier to face enemy flak than to speak before a crowd of loyal welcomes. He lauded the ASC "Keep 'Em Flying" organizations, both overseas and at home, which took care of the Belle and other planes and sent them back again and again in top condition. mm, The maintenance njr8.amz'K Sienal Corra airW . ment is the rMium.n.nu of Signal Section, Contributing very f sucess of the sectionlargely is the Z tenance branch, which is comw s. of several The radio unit provides tenance facilities for the Z of Signal Corps radio commS tions equipment used by the i in this Air Service Command u "ouswni, aircrart emnlnW the facilities of the army use ok specialists W ?
