At the appointed hour, 6 a. m many assembled at the Chamber of Commerce and were H ready to leavo. From an early hour M until 5 p. m. there was no stop with M the oxception of three-quarters of an JH hour for dinner. It Is doubtful It a 'M cause ever received n more hearty M or willing responso and everyono ap- H pcarcd to thoroughly enjoy tho work. M Of course there arc others who.hav. M given tnoro time to the construction H of tho camp than thoso present on M Monday and they nto to be commend- M od nna will recelvo particular men- M tlon at n later date. M Thoso who worked on Monday put up the scarfoldn, put nn all tho sheet- H lug, nearly completed nil tho siting- H ling, put tho floor on the' balcony, IjH made partitions, did some lathing, sH completed the flues for tho fire- H place and kitchen, cleaned all the H grounds, made rustic bridges and cut jH brush on the road from tho camp te 1 the forks. There Is still considerable H to be done and ano who can spare a day should notify Sir. Moser, Supt., jJH and transportation will bo provided. H Tho workers on Monday especially H appreciated the delicious lunch bars ,r H urnlshed by W. F. Jensen Candy Co. H tho fine doughnuts furnished by tho H Federal Bakery, and tho highly fla- H mrcd coffee furnished by the Gibson H Commercial company. After work tho workers had a water melon and M cantelope bust. All In all it was a H very successful day and the Chamber H or Commerce and tho American Le- H glon wero well represented nnd aro H to bo commended for taking the lnl- H i In live In the movement on Mondny. Many have taken a part In the jH construction or this camp nnd they H can look with much pride on It. It jH will be one of the chief attractions H of the canton. M |
