Show another pioneer of norther utah dies communicated in the death of mrs airs naomi wadman who passed away feb 23 1918 at promontory one of the oldest residents of northern utah passed to her final rest A short service i has as at the home conducted by elder F C houghton after which the body was taken to her old home in plain city where the funeral services were held the large attendance and many beautiful floral offerings attested the high esteem in which slie she v was as held services were held under the direction of bishops counselor james L robson of the plain city ward the speakers were bishop robert mcfarland of tile the west weber ward sirs mrs isabel bramwell of ogden who was for many years a worker coworker co ca with atwith the deceased in the relief society elder willard C carver of plain cl CI y high councilor henry J gamer of 0 the north weber stake bishop almon L wight of the penrose ward ard of the bear river stake and high councilor P N pierce also of the bear stake all bore testimony of 0 the faithfulness motherly lore lave and kindness of the deceased the music was furnished by a quartet consisting of henry T maw wm win knight mrs burness carver and iva maw A solo 0 my aly father was rendered by mrs C E palmer interment was in the plain city ce the grave being dedicated by elijah larkins naomi ware wadman or as she was more affectionately known to her many friends grandma wadman was born feb 17 1831 it at blenhem kent england she was baptized into the church of jesus christ of latter day saints feb 13 and married to the late dr henry wadman march 26 1850 they emigrated to america leaving england jan 17 1855 locating in kaysville Kays ville le davis county later they removed to ogden where the family resided about about two years then removed to plain city about 1860 where the family resided helping to found and build a number of homes until 1911 when ihen she removed with her so son D 0 wadman to promontory box county where she resided until her death she was tile the mother of nine children two sons surviving her they are J P wadman ot of ogden and D 0 wadman of promontory also one sister mrs ruin hodson of marriotti Marri otts seven grand children and eleven great grand children she was ever eve a faithful latter day saint having a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of jesus christ being too enfeebled by ill health to leave the house during cie t io winter months the promontory dible bible c class ass met with her on the occasion of her eighty seventh birthday feb 17 1 at which time she fully entered into tile the spirit of the meeting bearing her testimony to the truth |
