The 5-Star Fitness Program looks at five critical areas in fitness management: operations, programs, training, facilities and customer service. The Air Force-wide annual recognition was begun in 2002 as a way to acknowledge those bases which have reached the highest standard of achievement in all aspects of fitness management. • "Tb achieve the recognition, a fitness center must meet all prerequisites and achieve at least 90 percent of the total point value for each category of the checklist," Arthur J. Myers, Director of Services, stated in a news memo recognizing Hill AFB's inclusion in the list of those so recognized. Formal recognition and plaque presentations took place in San Antonio, Texas, in December. T he 75th Force Support Squadron launched its 75th FSS Fan Club on Jan. 1, based on the idea that 75th FSS no longer has customers, only "fans." The fan club is the first of its kind in the Air Force and it will run from January until December with the goal of creating an environment of energy and enthusiasm for Team HilL The program will encourage morale, welfare and recreational opportunities through a two-pronged approach: 1. Fans can enter to win monthly and special drawings (weekly or surprise) purchasing goods and services and/or ; participating in day-to-day 75th FSS ; operations. During Air Force Week, one lucky fan will win a car! , 2. Customers who are at the right i place at the right time will win a facil-1 i ity prize (e.g., a bowling client could win' three lines of bowling each week for a year, or purchasing a pizza could win : someone a free pizza each week for an entire year). ; Learn more by visiting the Web site at httpyAvww.75thforcesupport.com/fan/. |
