Interiors According to BLM Howard, Land Paul Utah L. state director, the Bureau has designated several areas in the state where families may cut their own trees, but none of the areas are near the populated Wasatch Front. Only pinon and juniper trees will be available from BLM. Permits cost $1 per tree and each family will be limited to only one tree. The Seniors were released from first period to attend the approximately three hour session, though, unfortunately, several students took the time for a three hour break from classes. A general session to acquaint the seniors with the schedule of the presentations and the choices of college information available was held at 8:30 a.m. in the Scots auditorium. Representatives present were from: Business or Technical College: Hollywood Beauty College, Stevens Henager, Utah Technical College-ProvUtah Technical College-SLand Weber State College. Small or Two Year College: Dixie College, College of Eastern Utah, Snow College, Southern Utah State College, Westminster, Ricks College. Large College or University: Brigham Young University, University of Utah, Utah State University, and Weber State College. A representative from the Employment Security (Job Service) was also included for students who may be considering full time employment after high school. The sessions included a background of each school with brochures and other information available for the college a student was interested in. Each college presented two sessions, so that a visit to more than one lecture could be attended. College-Technic- by Justin C. Stewart, State Chairman, Democrat State Central Committee. The slate included Senator Moroni L. Jensen (D), of Salt Lake, who Senate elected was President; Omar B. Bunnell, (D), Southeastern Utah (Price) was elected Majority Leader. The office of Majority Whip went to Senator Wilford Rex Black, Salt Lake, and freshman senator Arthur L. Kimball, Salt Lake, was chosen as Speaker of the Third House. With no other officers being nominated, a- - motion was made that these officers be approved by acclamation. The elections were conducted candidates nominated Delta. All North Ogden residents are invited to the game which is free to the public. The California team will arrive at the Salt Lake International Thursday, Nov. 25. Each of the North Ogden team members parents will be assigned as host to one visiting player. During the evening of Nov. 26, all players and parents will participate in a special honors dinner. A handmade ceramic nativity scene will be raffled at the banquet. Tickets are currently being sold at Staceys Salon. The cost of the tickets are three for $1 and you need not be present to win. The big action begins for the boys on Saturday morning, Nov. 27 as the Turkey Bowl gets underway. The exact time for the game has not as yet been set, but .it should be scheduled by next week. The pigskin game will be held at Oaklawn Park. On Nov. 28, the Whittier team will depart for home as exciting concerned. Gardens subject of storytime at the This Wednesday Stone Branch Emerson Library, beginning at 2 p.m. will be a unique preschool storytime. Wee Tales for will host the Wee Wigglers theme A Garden in a Jar. The children will learn by discovery the miracle of planting seeds and growing things. To aid in the learning process, children are requested to bring either green growing things from the house, or around something from their kitchens that will grow. Also included will be stories and poems about seeds and growing things. The Branch is located at 606 Washington Boulevard. North Ogdens recreation department NORTH OGDEN has begun registration for the citys basketball program. The city basketball program is open to all North Ogden boys in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades. Boys interested in playing basketball must register at the city offices, 505 E. 2600 N., before Nov. 30, at 5 p.m. No late registrations will be accepted. All players must complete a registration form and have their parents sign a release statement. The fee for registration will be $5. The fee will include a jersey which the player may keep at the end of the season. League play begins Saturday, Jan. 8. The last gamq is scheduled for Feb. 26, 1977. All games will be played on Saturday at the North Ogden Elementary School gym. Teams may stay organized as they were last year. Any new player will be assigned by the Recreation Department. Boys may change teams by being reassigned by the department. In order to have a balanced league, where all who participate might have fun, teams are organized so that boys will play other boys of the same grade level. Any three boys may form a new team by selecting a coach and completing the team registration form.
