F Whitney of th the Council of the Twelve was wa present to represented his hi quorum and the First Presidency At three of the sessions President Wm R. R Palmer pressed Counselor Thomas J. J Jones having direction of the other Counselor Arthur R R. R Fife was not present b being ln because of his being away ats at s i l JOOl There were from five to seven of the High Councilors present at ends each session with one Elder Walter C. C Mitchell being excused 1 because l of or missionary labors All AU bishops were in attendance at least one session of the conference except Thos Thes W. W Tones ones s of Paragonah who was ex excused because of death in his ward A fair representation of counselors and ward clerks was as ha had l lat at each session The Tho two Saturday sessions were ere not so well attended as they would have been had not the the- Saints generally generally generally gener gener- ally had the idea that at least the I Saturday morning morning- session was a special meeting for stake and ward officers The two Sunday sessions sessions however were unusually well attended attend attend- ed the afternoon session showing an increase ease of nearly a s a hundred o over the similar meeting of last conference I There were fifteen speakers prin p al among them Elder Orson Onion P.
