Show Three Members of Holladay Family Die in Accident Three members of a Holladay family, who had stopped to aid a motorist who had run out of gas were killed Sunday morn ing. Dead are: Mrs Katherine Alywortli, 43, 3809 Filla Dr., a daughter, Marsha, 14; and Mrs Michael Aylworth, 21, 1385 Murphy Lane. The car driven by Lowell P. Aylworth pulled to the side of the road to assist R. C. Merrill, 171 West 300 North when it was struck from behind by a truck, sending the both cars and the truck 100 feet after the impact. The truck was overturned and the Aylworth car flipped from the highway. Lorraine Knapton Aylsworth was born March 5, 1944, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Walter L. and Agnes Kirby Knapton. She was married to Michael Lowell Aylworth on Oct. 12, 1981, in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her husband, Salt Lake City; one daughter, Elaine Aylworth, Salt Lake City; her parents Salt Lake City; grandparents Mr A Mrs Walter Knapton, Tooele, Salt Lake City, and five brothers, LcRoy Knapton, Tooele, Ray Knapton, David Knapton, Lynn Knapton, all of Salt Lake City. Katherine Ann Jones Aylworth was born July 9, 1920, in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of Joseph A. and Ann Jones. She was married to Lowell T. Aylworth Oct. 11, 1941, in Reno, Nev. Their marriage later was solemnized in the Logan Temple. She formerly taught elementary school in Kearns and was a graduate of the University of Utah. Surviving are her husband; Lake City; one granddaughter; four brothers and two sisters, Dr Lewis W. Jones, ugan; J. Clifford Jones, Malad; Merlin H. Jones, Pocatello; Dr Daniel L. Jones and Mrs James (Sara) Beeton, both Bountiful, anid Mrs Mark (Dora) Roylance, Salt Lake City. mMarsha Aylworth, 14, was born Feb. 15, 1949, to Lowell T. and Katherine Ann Jonca Aylworth in Salt Lake City. are her father, Surviving Malad, and two brothers Michael and Daniel, both Salt Lake City. Obituaries Martin Pedersen Martin H. Pedersen, 60, 2836 Caste Lane, died in a Salt Lake hospital of a heart attack. Mr Pedersen was born Nov. 24, 1902, in Holladay. He was the son of Christian and Betsey Hansen Pedersen. He married Gertrude Tanner July 29, 1925, in Salt Lake. He was an employe of the Chicago Bridge and Iron Co. He was an active member of the Holladay Eighth Ward. The county commission voted Friday, on recommendation of the Civic Auditorium Advisory Board, to raise the bond issue from $15 million to $17 million. The commission was advised last Tuesday that $12 million would be needed for buildings, in addition to cost of the site and allowance for parking facilities.
