The pro-- f gram will consist of basic tramming in three separate programs. shotguns, rifles and archery. Each class will include some classroom instruction and actual field shooting experience. Youth can sign up for one area or all three. All three of these leaders have taught these classes for several years and do an excellent job. Any youth in 3rd - 12th grade who is able to safely handle the equipment, can sign up. President Betty Cones called the meeting to order and called on Gloria Rife to offer the invocation and blessing on the food. Our "Pot Luck" meal was delicious. We enjoyed baked ham. several delicious casseroles. salads, yummy baked beans, rolls, with chocolate pies and cake for dessert. Everyone seemed very satisfied after eat- ing dinner. It was together and pledge allegiance to our Flag and then sing "God Bless America" with piano accompaniment by Mabel Butler. announced that anyone interested in obtaining a book titled. "The History of Juab County", by Alice McCune, may purchase them from Joan Morris for $15.00. The Juab County DUP has had the book reprinted. Betty Cones always has a clever thing for us to do to end our meeting. We had fun with the "BOW" made out of a napkin. Joe Bernini read a couple of stories. "Generous Pa" and "Change of Jobs" that made us all laugh. He said Rusty Rife had given him copies of several funny stories and he would be reading one from time to time. Nephi. the Six County Economic Development District (SCEDD) arid Panoramaland and Resource Conservation Council (RC&D) Development honored area businesses and community leaders for their exceptional efforts and contributions to economic and community development. Ephraim was presented with beautification the regional award. Mayor Chesley Christensen. Mt. Pleasant City and chair of the SCEDD Board and RC&C Council made the presentation. The city was recognized because of their planned beautification efforts and continual progress in meeting their beautification goals and objectives. Ephraim Mayor Gary Anderson, received the award on behalf of the city.
