Show Leta Grooms for Top Roundup Celebration Lehi is taking on a festive a pearance and atmosphere in anticipation of the big annual celebration, the Lehi Roundup, to be held Thursday, . Friday and Saturday, June 29, 30, July 1. The clatter of horses' hooves announces the coming of top cowboys of the nation, putting their mounts through the paces in preparation for the contest which will provide the top western purse. Rodeo stock is gaining in spirit and strength, brought into the lush pastureland adjoining Lehi. Shining horses are being carefully exercised and groomed by local owners in advance of the big show, highlight of the stockman's year. Pennants are flying and banners add a colorful and gala appearance to Lehi's principal streets. Radio and TV announcements and an extensive campaign is bringing the attention of the rodeo minded public toward the Lehi Roundup. Parades, Flower Show The many events of the celebration will include the miniature and stock parades and a flower show, in which everyone is invited to place entries. vv , REMEMBER DAD v (( Garden Club Slates Flower Show as Roundup Feature As a feature of the big Lehi Roundup celebration, the Lehi Garden Club is staging a spring flower Show; to he held at the Memorial building. The show will be open to public View Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening, June 30 and July 1. Win Trophies At Vernal Show The Junior Roughriders, horse club, went to Vernal last Friday to compete in the Uintah horse show. They remained overnight in order to visit the Standard Saddletree Co. plant where they learned about the foundation of saddles. They also went to the Newton Brothers saddle plant where they saw saddles completed. They also enjoyed visiting Dinosaur Park and the dinosaur quarry.
