Show Funeral For Ada M. Bailey Two funeral services were held for Mrs. Ada McArthur Bailey who died at her home in Ephraim Friday Fri-day afternoon. A service was held at Ephraim Sunday afternoon under the direction direc-tion of O. L. Hansen of the North Ward Bishopric. The tabernacle was filled with friends of Mrs. Bailey and the be reaved families. Tributes to the memory of Mrs. Bailey were given by the speakers at the service. Resolutions of respect from the Home Culture Club, of which Mrs. Bailey was secretary and treasurer, treasur-er, were read by the president of the club, Mae Mortenson. Following the service the 'body was taken to the home and Monday Mon-day morning it was taken to Mt. Pleasant to the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest McArthur. Mc-Arthur. At 2 P. M. services were held at the Mt. Pleasant North ward chapel, cha-pel, with Bishop Henry P. Olsen presiding. The choir sang "Though Deepning Trials" and prayer was offered by James B. Staker. The choir then sang, "Oh Grave Where is Thy Victory?" O. L. Hansen of the Ephraim North Ward Bishopric paid glowing tributes to her memory. Miss Erma Er-ma Lundberg of Gunnison, a missionary mis-sionary companion of Mrs. Baile in the Eastern States mission, told of the high esteem in which she held her departed frisnd. Prei-ident Prei-ident H. C. Jacobs spoke of her activities in the church and Mrs. Thomas W. Jensen sang "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go." Bishop A. L. Peterson gave tributes trib-utes of respect to her and Mrs. Obed Nelson sang a solo, "The Great Divide." Patriarch Arthur O. Nellson and Bishop Henry P. Olsen paid tributes of respect foi her respect and work done in the church and her smiles gien through life The closing song by the choir was "Sister Thou Wast Mild and Lovely." The closinij prayer was offered by Elder William Wil-liam Olson. The body was taken to the Mt. Pleasant cemetery by the Olsen Mortuary and laid at final rest. Elder Burke McArthur dedicated the grave. Many beautiful flower were given by friends of Mrs. Bailey which were banked high upon the grave. |
