Show LYHNOYL LEAMIKGTON MEWS LAURA BRADFIELD Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson and three children of Salt Lake visited with aunt, Wanda Nielson and family. They were an their way home from visiting Rosemary's folks in Nevada. All the children and grandchildren grandchil-dren of Eldon and Wanda Nielson were home for Christmas, Joan and Don Bird and four children, Bud and Nan and four children of Delta, Inez and Bob and Stephanie of Provo, Roger, Nyra and Rory of Tremonton, Gayl and Wade, also, Theron Nielson and Ben, Lorraine and Steven Stephenson of Lynndyl. Visitors at the Floyd Bradfield home Saturday were Jean's brother, broth-er, Rolf Robison and family rf Provo. On New Year's Day Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradfield and boys had dinner din-ner in Provo at the home of Jean's brother, Clarence Robison. Ewa Bradfield went with them to Provo andd visited with her sister, Betty Sherwood and family. Then on to Salt Lake and had dinner with an-othcer an-othcer sister, Norma Anderson and family. Bud and Marianne Wichmann Bailey of Reno spent the holidays with Marianne's mother, Lorna Mclntyre and girls. Lor.na, Kathy and Katherne went back to Reno with them and had a wonderful time. Austin, Fern and Sandra Willden were down from Salt Lake Sunday and visited with their mother, Millie Mil-lie Lovell, Tom and Irene Best and Bud and Margaret McCann. Claudine Nielson brought hor husband, Bill, home from the Veterans Vet-erans Hospital in Salt Lake. Bill was hospitalized for several weeks. We all hope he will be able to stay home now and his health will improve, im-prove, i Mr. and Mrs. Glen Roper and daughter, Carol returned home Monday having spent Christmas in Nevada with their daughters, Gol-da Gol-da nad Glenna and families. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Nielson and family had New Year's dinner at the home of Ben and Lorraine Stephenson. Wanda Nielson went to Salt Lake with her daughter, Inez, while Inez kept a dentist appointment. Kristine Nielson, daughter of Grant and Louise visited in Cedar with relatives. Mrs. Kenneth Neilson is in the Nephi hospital recovering from surgery. Best wishes to you, Ruth and hurry home. Bessie Hutchins, foster daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaForge Lovell spent four days in Salt Lake with her sisters, Julie Ann, Mary and brother, Leo. Bishop and Mrs. Rulon Dutson spent Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve in Fillmore at the home of their son, Merrill and family. Visiting at the Dutson home during dur-ing the holidays were their daughter daugh-ter Luella and husband, Ray Barton and family of Salt Lake and son Elwood and wife, Lori Lee and family of Granger. Mr. and Mrs. Welby Lovell went to St. George for Christmas with their daughter, LaPriel and husband, hus-band, Arnold Ashby and children. They also visited in Salt Lake with their daughter Ethel and husband Boyd Kimbcr and children. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradfield and Mr. and Mrs. LaForge Lovell went to Oak City Friday night to the Gold and Green ball. The program in sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday night in Leamington was given by Von Callister, a returned re-turned missionary. He served in the California mission. His sisters, Pamela Pam-ela and Patricia sang and played the piano. Funeral services were held Monday, Mon-day, Dec. 30th for Lile Johnson. The large crowd, flowers and all showed the love and respect we all felt for the Johnson family. It will be impossible to mention all the people who attended from out-of-town. But some of the former Lynndyl residents that I did see were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Woodbury of Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sheriff Sher-iff and Carl Larsen of Orem and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Roper of Springville; Mr, and Mrs. Delong Banks of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Banks of Manti, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Her-bert Abegglen and children of Taylorsville. Visitors at the William Overson home were Mr. and Mrs. Kirt Over- son of Delta, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Overson and children of Layton and Ellen Frazier of Orem. They came for the funeral. Visitors at the Louis Overson home during the holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Overson of Murray, Keith of Provo, Mr. an! Mrs. .Alma Banks of Manti, Mr. and Mrs. DeLong Banks, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen, and Marine Miller Mil-ler of Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Woods and children of Corine visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hold-away Hold-away during the holidays. At the home of Phil and Billie Nielson during the holidays were Billie's sister, Jo, and husband, Rhody Roper and family of Enter- prize. Mr. Roper is the principal of the school and also bishop there. Don Greathouse of Hill Field visited at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greathouse. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bradfield and boys, Thayne, Bryce and Paul of Tooele visited at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bradfield and family. Thayne had a diabetic reaction and spent part of Christmas Eve in the Primary Hospital in Salt Lake but is feeling fine now. Enla and Junior Baird and children chil-dren of Richfield visited at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Wilkins. They all went to Oak City and visited Barbara Anderson An-derson and family. Linda and Dave Sutton spent last weekend in Salt Lake with Dan's family. On New Year's day they went to Ely to see their daughter Jeanette Schwabb and family. They returned home Friday night. Sunday after conference they took their granddaughters grand-daughters back to Holden. They all had had a wonderful time. Mr, Harry Carrington fell on the ice and injured his back and hip. He is hospitalized in the Nephi hospital. hos-pital. Cristal Sagtrs is also in the hospital hos-pital in Nephi recovering from injuries in-juries she received when she fell on tha ice Christmas Eve. Hope these people can soon be able to come home. Gilo -a Nielson Perkis of Ely, New visited with her brother, Mr. and Mrs. R 'ed Nielson and Mrs. Lucille Nielson during the past week. Lucille Nielson had all her children chil-dren home during the holidays, Ivie J. and family, I eon and family, fam-ily, an l Karen and Tony all of the Salt Lake area. Wesley Oshley of Blanding brot Joanne, Carol and Dorothy back Sunday for school. The girls had a nice time in Blanding with their families and friends. Lucille Overson wishes to express her thanks and appreciation ta the Legion Auxiliary in Delta. Lucille was the lucky winner of "Tippy Toes" and she says, "Believe me, my grandchildren certainly enjoyed enjoy-ed Tippy Toes during the holidays." Mary Johnson is in Salt Lake with her daughter Connie and family. The program in sacrament meeting meet-ing was the "Cantata" under the direction nf Dr. Bird of Delta. It was a wonderful and inspiring program. pro-gram. Mr. and Mrs. Ernold Johnson of Provo formerly of Lynndyl visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Law- ence Bradfield Sunday. Dee Anderson of Magna an 1 Lance Johnson of Nephi visited the 'Ida Overson family on Monday. I Ida and Alida Ruth Overson were in Cedar a week ago lastFriday and Saturday to attend the wedding reception for Sharon Overson and Ron Bigelow of Kamas. They were married in the St. George Temple. Sharon is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Operson, Ron returned from a mission to Scotland. On Sunday Ida and Aiida Ruth Overson, also Mr. and Mrs. Elden Johnson and family of Nephi were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gloyd Anderson and family of Mag na. The dinner was in honor of Dee Anderson, a nephew of Ida's, who is home from the Army at Fort Ord, Calif. They also saw the Temple Square, State Capitol and city lights. They spent three hours at the visitors center on Temple Square seeing all the films. It was wonderful and the lights were beautiful. Allen Overson has been home for the holidays from college. Mrs. Lucille Kimber, secretary secre-tary of the MIA for the past nine years, received her eight year a-ward. a-ward. There were four girls, Miss Carol Adams, Miss Judy Bassett, Miss Kathcrine Stoddard and Miss Connie Lovell, who received seven, year awards and a gold medallion necklace for their faithful and sincere sin-cere services. Many girls and leaders lead-ers of the ward received awards. The Youth Choir and the Girls Chorus gave the music for the meeting. A good crowd attended. We sincerely congratulate the Youth Choir for the- heartfelt numbers num-bers they sang for Conference Sunday Sun-day morning at the Stake House. They did very well. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lee had their family home for the holiday, Mrs. Betty Beaulieu and three sons, Jesse, Douglas and Rocky and Mr. and Mrs. Bud (Darcia Dalton) Day and son, Kip of Cedar spent Christmas. Christ-mas. Bud Day is a student at CSU in Cedar and Darcia is employed by Lunt Motor Co. Then all came back to spend New Years with the Jesse Lee's. Mr. Tarn Davis was a visitor and guest of Betty's for New Years and dinner at her parent's home in Delta. Mr. Jim Adamson and two sons Lane and David of Salt Lake spent Sunday at the home of his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lee. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Van Bishop during the holidays holi-days were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Clair (Caryl) Baldwin and children, Mike and Lara Lee of Sun Valley, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Bishop of Cedar and Mrs. Barbara White and daughter, Kristen of Pullman, Washington. They also had a telephone visit on Christmas Day with Duane, Dorothy and son, Darren Griffin of Idaho Falls. Anthony E. Stephenson who Is in the Extended Care Facility of the West Millard Hospital would like to express his gratefulness to the manv of his friends who have visited him or sent encouraging messages to him during his extended extend-ed illness of this past vear and extends ex-tends his wish for a happy New Year to all of you. Mr. and Mrs. DaWayne Kimber and family visited for several days at the homo of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kimber. Miss Margaret Hansen spent the holidays here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen. Margaret is a sixth grade teacher at Midvale. Her young friend. Miss Martha RrH-'n""- 1' .Tnra, Mexico spent '" vac 'Jan in Mexico with her family. She will return to school at the BYU this week. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Killpack spent Christmas day at Fillmore at the home of their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clare Stephenson and family. Their other children have called them on the telephone during the holidays to check on them and to wish them well during the New Year. Mrs. Leo Cahoon. (Ruth Starley) of Cedar spent New Years with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Starley and family. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Miller spent last Sunday in Grantsville visiting family members and friends. Miss Ellen Anderson visited Saturday Sat-urday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Miller. Miss Anderson is the supervisor of the Nurse Program at CSU in Cedar. A New Year's party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Miller New Year's Eve. Those attending at-tending were Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Laur-ence Bunker, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Perkins, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. S. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Hunsaker and daughter, Marilee of Westland, Michigan were holiday visitors bt the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orlan Hunsaker and Mr. and Mrs. J. Evan Wright. Terry is presently pres-ently on leave from the Ford Motor Co. and is attending the University of Michigan working on his master's mas-ter's degree in Business Administration. Administra-tion. Margery is teaching type, business math and business principles princi-ples in a junior high school in Westland, Mich. The Hunsakers left to return to their home the 30. Mr. and Mrs. Jock Daly of Tooele spent Friday and Saturday at the home of his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sorenson and attended funeral services for Mrs. Sarah McCullough. . Mr. and Mrs. John Sorenson and two children, John Kevan and Lori of Reno, Nev. spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sorenson. They visited up north with friends and relatives while they were here and returned to their home in Reno Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Miller and daughter, Trudy in Loves Park, 111. called their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Miller, on the phone Christmas Christ-mas day and told them they had just bought them a new home in Thursday, January 9, 1969 BARBEN Rockland, 111. and will be moving very soon. The Millers are In the same area as Dorothy Starley Harding Hard-ing and they see each other and visit often. Miss Judy Callister visited her parents one day during the holiday. Judy goes on active duty with the Air Guard for two weeks, this week. Judy is a flight nurse with Guard and an RN at the New University Uni-versity Hospital Ln Salt Lake. Sunday, Dec. 29th Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Robison entertained at a dinner for their family, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Robison and family of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Robison on Granger and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Erickson of Doseret. During the day their son, Paul Gene of Brae, Calif, called to wish his family a happy New Year. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith of Phoenix, Arizona were Delta visitors visit-ors Sunday and attended church in the 2nd Ward. Mrs. Elizabeth Judd traveled by train to Bountiful to spend Christmas Christ-mas with her son, Mr. and Mrs. David Judd. She visited in Salt Lake with her sisters, Mrs. Mary Cher-rington Cher-rington and Kate Church and her brother, in the St.Marks Hospital where he is recovering from a very serious accident. Van Church, her nephew, brought her back home Saturday in time for her to open the Garment Sales Department, which she has been asked to run. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Twitchell spent four days up north with their family, fam-ily, two days in North Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Noel Twitchell and two days with the Gale Searlesj (LuDcan) family in Kearns. They! attended the production of "Mic-( key Finn" at the Valley Music Hall which was very enjoyable. They a t-1 tended the annual Kearns 3rd Ward Bishopric Christmas Dinner with Bishop and Mrs. Gale Searle held! at the Hawaiian Restaurant in Salt Lake. They brought their grand daughter, Amanda Twitchell home with them for a week's visit. Mr. and Mrs. Noel Twitchell will come to Delta Thursday to visit and take their daughter home again. On their way home Roy and, Chlora stopped in Midvale to visit j with Mrs. Effie Graff, Roy's only living aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Black and three boys spent two days last week in Delta with parents and in Hinckley Hinck-ley with the George Ekins family. Mr. and Mrs. Nels Bogh had their family home to visit during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Carson Sharp of Salt Lake and Miss Mar-lene Mar-lene Bogh who flew to Utah from Kingston, Rhode Island where she is a fourth grade teacher in Davis, R. I. Marlene is enjoying her teaching teach-ing career in Rhode Island and 'S having many interesting experiences exper-iences there. Miss Kathy Stoddard returned to Logan and school at CSU Thursday after visiting with her parents during the holidays. Mr. Danny Rieley of Downey, Calif, returned by train. Sunday to continue his schooling at Delta High. He is living at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Adams. Danny is a grandson of Mrs. Concha Adams of Sutherland and son of Mr. and Mr?. They all were at Doug and Bonnie's home in Orem for Christmas Christ-mas dinner and spent the day together. to-gether. They also visited Thelma's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. George (Marcia) Berryrnan of Murrey. Mur-rey. Mr. Berryrnan is recovering from an operation. All are doing well now. Saturday evening June and Thelma Thel-ma drove to Ogden and spent Sunday Sun-day with Ladd and Barbara and family. They attended Church witn them and celebrated Ladd's birth day. Ladd is a counselor in the bishopric of North Ogden 3rd Ward. They returned home Sunday eve ning. VENICE DAVIS We are happy to announce the happy parents of a fine baby girl born Dec. 28 to a lovely couple Dr. and Mrs. Bud (Joyce Hill) West of Portland, Oregon and makes Mr. and Mrs. Art Hill their first grandchild. grand-child. "Congratulations." All doing nicely, name is Rochelle. The "Flu" has caught up with some of our people. Several have been in bed since Christinas. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Shurtz and family spent New Years in Fillmor. Ireta and children stayed over until Saturday visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Robison. M. and Mrs. Dick Clark entertained enter-tained New Year's Eve with a hot fried chicken supper with all the trimmings. Helen Hersleff and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Heise assisted. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Guy Terrell, Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Ogden, Og-den, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Meinhardt, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Jensen, Mrs. Mae Wind, Mrs. Fern Foote, Mr. and Mrsr. Cads were played and 1st prize was won by Mae Wind and Harry Meinhardt and low prizes Norma Jensen and LeRoy Walker. Fun was had when the New Year came in with whistles and gay hats and noise galore. Sunday night the program was given by High Councilman Harold Jensen. Talks were given by Zen Boothe, Lee Boothe, Harold Jensen and Phyllis Huntington, a piano selection by Kay Lynn Boothe. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Losee and family made a trip to Cedar for the blessing of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hastings' son. His name will bo Greg Floyd Hastings. We are happy to see our roads are being graveled. They sure need it. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Terry and Robert made a trip to Salt Lake during the holidays. The Terrys had word that Mrs. Devon Roper had an accident and demolished her car and had a bad whip lash as well. We hope she is getting better. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Terry have a new telephone.
