The student body officers dressed up as super heroes Friday and announced the new officers for the 1983-8- lot. They are Cam Smith, student body president; Todd school 4 year. Cheerleaders were elected last week at Kearns high for school year. the 1983-8Varsity cheerleaders will include Wendy Walters, Julie Lawrence, Tina Hernandez, Shari Braun-bergeMike Conlon, Tony Clausen, Mike MacFarlane and Jimmy Bottoms. Jayvees will be Kim Werner, Kris Collins, Kim Geldmacher, Debbie Fast, Heidi Lund and Michelle 4 r) Drabner. Lona Mellor will be Charlie Cougar, the school mascot. The head cheerleader will be elected during student body elections, according to adviser Linda Pearson. Legion Auxiliary - Four Girls Staters Named At KHS Four delegates will represent Kearns high at Girls at SouthState, to be held June ern Utah State College in Cedar City. KEARNS. 5-- The girls, selected by members of Tomorrow and Saturday night the dance club will perform its annual spring concert, Emotions in Motion. It will be a very entertaining evening for all those who attend. American Legion Auxiliary Unit 132, will study Americanism, the American form of government and democracy by living in a simulated community, in which they will hold elections, run for ofice, vote and follow through on democratic procedures. The baseball and tennis teams go up against Brighton tomorrow at 3:30 and Monday they play Bingham. On Tuesday the track team will compete against Bingham at 1:30. Good luck to all teams. This was to let the students know who was running for office. M Final voting will be wrapping up today (Thursday). Tally of the ballots will be done tonight. Winning candidates will be announced tomorrow at a P.M. inaugural assembly. They will also attend a reception in their honor that night. Looking ahead, our dance company will be holding their annual dance concert April 27, 28 and 29. Bye, Smitty. The Massengale girl is the daught- er of Ralph and Mickie Massengale. She is a member of Key club, National Honor Society, activities committee and has received the Kiwanis Leadership award, National Achievement award and a certificate of achievement from the Salt Lake Art academy. She has been a Kearns Cougar of the Month. Miss Peterson, daughter of Craig and Lynne Peterson, has also been selected Cougar of the Month. She belongs to Key club, Spanish club, National Honor Society and has participated in the state math contest, Natural Math and Science Fair and BYU language fair. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen LeRoy Ivie, Miss Ivie also attended the BYU language fair and the state math contest. She has been Cougar of the Month and is Spanish club historian. The Bettridge lass, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bettridge, is also a member of Spanish club, Key club and the National Honor Society She participated in the state math contest, Natural Math and Science Fair, BYU language fair and regional music competition.
