The Consolidated Wagon & Machine company has the agency for the Columbus Electric "The Oar Supreme," and Mr. Odell has one for his personal per-sonal use. On Wednesday he put the handsome vehicle to a severe test, driving tt from State j street to the L. D. S. Hospital on the second speed. Many a high power machine has stuck a quarter of a mile below the hospital In attempt-ing attempt-ing to make the difficult ascent, but the Columbus Colum-bus car took the hill without a hitch. This Is the samel car purchased by Mr. Odell last spring. It has been driven over 3,000 miles with the same tiros and batteries, another remarkable instance in-stance of the efficiency of the machine. Mr. Odell's Wednesday run has been variously commented com-mented upon by those familiar with the difficult grade, but local experts are unanimous in their opinion that the performance was a wonderful exhibition of the efficiency and endurance of the "Car Supreme." |
