Snow Week begins. Snow Queen Pageant, 8 p.m., Auditorium. Study workshops set Outdoors film on tap The Learning Center is sponsoring Workshops to Improve Your Study Skills. The first workshop will be held January 18, the topic will be Every thing you never wanted to know about studying, but knew you should ask. Other topics that will be covered are: How to look smarter when taking a test, First aid for spelling problems, Structuring sentences and conquering and other monsters the comma-splic- e of composition. Workshops are free and open to all students. The Back Country Sojourners, a naturalist group on campus, will present an outdoors film, A Closer Look, on Jan. 25 at 7 pun. in BU 308. The film contains a look at wilderness, weather and survival and is open to the public. Admission is 75 cents pet person. Art films slated A series of free films ranging in subject matter from contemporary Utah artists to the treasures of a 3,000 year-olEgyptian tomb begin Thursday at the d Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery. Sponsored by Friends of the Gallery, film presentations continue each Thursday (except on March 15, spring break) through March 29. Programs start at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in OA 204. film on loan from the A National Galiery in Washington, D.C., will be shown this Thursday. In Search of Rembrandt is a film portrait of the great artist as seen through his work. Dont forget that a dual exhibition Recent Works by Ruth Snyder and Navajo Weavings from the Willis W. is on display at the Ritter Collection SUSC gallery. |
