Show “' V ' Ribbon cutting highlight remwtn towr ir'v ?£ -- i jjof dedication ceremony by Sam Pittmaa Eagle editor Students faculty and members of the community assembled in the gathering dusk to participate in the dedication of the Computer Business Building November 7 Ceremonies opened with a speech by Robert Torgerson vice president of the College of Eastern Utah Torgerson stated that "Completion of the Computer Business Building is a significant milestone in the history of the College of Eastern Utah The addition of this facility to our campus helps us to accommodate an enrollment growth for several years to come” Torgersons speech was followed by James L Young unveiling his sculpture Ascent Totem After a short musical selection by the CEU choir Lou Colosimo mayor of Price offered his comments " one reason we support the college is because it is the most important tool we have in this area for the future economic development Colosimo continued ” the spirit of cooperation lives on between CEU and the community This facility embodies that spirit” Michael A Petersen president of the college stepped up to the podium to deliver the dedication address He stressed the importance of the cooperation of the community and the college has been in completing the project After a short outline of the history of the college and the building Petersen joked about the asking price of the building one dollar saying "The transaction gave our auditors a real fit” Petersen continued "today their is little disagreement that this is the most attractive building in Carbon County and it was clearly worth the effort" f ' i"V $?£?' : vi? 4 : pbsp : 4 v V 72 ±j Sgii? i i t"- &£ if'i I t ?
