Show EUROPEAN NATIONS are not without their wars and rumors of wars. The greater powers are jealously feeling their way to a renewal of fighting strength, and the equipment of their forces with the most approved death-dealing weapons. The troubles which England and Russia have had with colonies and minor foreign countries, have served as an excuse to these mighty rivals for the enlistment of men, the manufacture of artillery, guns, sabers and ammunition. Other nations in Europe of course must not allow the Lion and Bear to make all the advancement; and as each government secures its munitions of war, as if to prepare for an inevitable contest, the feeing of insecurity is growing to a frightful extent. |
