PETERSON Carey, a caring, and happy senior, is involved in many activities at Lehi High. This year she has served as Senior class secretary and is a member of the National Honor Society and science and French clubs. She was g, also a member of the girl's varsity basketball team, where she lettered the past two years. She was named basketball Defensive Player of the Year and she has received the Academic All- - safety. State award for basketball. She was also recently nominated for, and received, the National English Merit Award. Carey has maintained a 3.9 grade point average while taking advanced placement classes in English, biology, history, and Active in the Lehi 20th Ward, Carey has served in her Young Women's class presidencies, participated in ward service projects, and is currently working on her Young Woman's Recognition Award. In community activities, Carey has worked hard, and served, as a Junior Jazz basketball coach. She received also recently the Prudential Spirit of Community award. Carey enjoys her free time by camping, hiking, drawing, playing sports, and being with her family. She also works part time at Baskin Robbins in American Fork. After graduation, Carey plans on Island Long attending Pool to offer lessons The Lehi Municipal Swimming Pool will offer swimming lessons to children in five sessions throughout the summer. Registering for more than one ' session at a time is discouraged because children may be registered in the wrong class and changing classes can be difficult especially if the needed class is full. Under the direction of Karrie Wilbur as president, the organization has 29 members, many of whom serve on committees. Some of the goals of the organization are to give service to the community and the state, to increase public awareness of the fire service and to support the local firefighters.
