"Our post will have the necessary neces-sary applications which veterans will have to make to the VA to get their NSLI dividends," Commander Com-mander Bishop says. "Every veteran veter-an who held his NSLI policy for 90 days or more will have a refund re-fund coming to him. The VA expects ex-pects to pay out approximately $2,800,000,000 in these refunds. Payments per veteran are expected expec-ted to average about $175 according accord-ing to the VA. Applications should be filed as quickly as possible because be-cause it will take weeks and months for a veteran to get his refund check." "The VA estimates that some 16,000,000 veterans are eligible to NSLI refunds," Commander Bishop Bish-op said. "Actually today the VA has the home address of only six millions of eligible veterans. The American Legion will help it to locate 10,000,00 others." Veterans may call at Post 117 Legion hall on Friday. Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 4' at 2 p.m. |
