Show Ditrkz and Benedict's Min strels. To-night this famous troupe appear in the theatre. There is little need in saying their reputation has preeeedod them, for it is world-wide. The Omaha Herald of Saturday last, says of their performance of the previous pre-vious night : The Academy of Music was again crowded with a delighted audience last evening to witness the entertainment given by the troupe. The performance, perform-ance, in all its parts was good, particu larly the opening songs, and the jokes and pleasantries of the "end men." The "Boston Jubilee Burlesque" was added to the advertised programme, and was the chief feature of the evening. even-ing. The Anvil Chorus was given in fine style, and was warmly applauded. The "Shoo fly" also brought down the house. It should not be forgotten that this excellent double company appear for two evenings only, this and to-morrow evening, notwilhstanding what some bills say to the contrary. |
