Show i TVft IF IT'S NEWS WE WANT IT TVCN alky VM Gunnison - “The Last weeks article indicated that the increase to our schools was not sufficient to carry out our present program not to mention making needed changes Naturally some may question the efficiency of operation Should some things be further curtailed for economy? We think not The following table on comparative data with similar districts indicates why we feel this way Operation Costs Teacher-Pup- ratio (both factors teachers and next to the lowest teacher-pupi- l that tend to Increase costs but give better educational opportunity) yet we operate at average cost per student This means we are both operating efficiently and doing without some services that other schools are having For these reasons we feel that further curtailing is not the proper solution We want to offer the best to our children No discussion of school finances would be complete without of school monies a discussion of salaries It is recognized that 70 (exclusive of buildings and debt) go to salaries To show how South Sanpete compares in salaries with Similar
