Hodson Wednesday afternoon, the occasion being in celebration of the fifty-nint- h wedding anni- versary and seventy-eigbirthday anniversary of their mother, Mrs. S. A. Gee. The affair was given at the Itome of Mrs. Jackson. The rooms were made cheerful with an abund- ance of spring - flowers,' carnations and roses. A, program of musical numbers and readings was rendered. Including remarks from several ladies regarding their acquaintance -- with Mrs. Gee In their younger .'days. A toast to the honored guest was given by Mrs. H. G. Smith of Salt Lake, to which' a response was given by Mrs. Gee. A dainty luncheon was enjoyed by the following: Mrs. Jos. T. W. Bailey, who has returned from Omaha, where he has spent the winter studying the dry goods and clothing business. The party consisted of Mr. and Mrs. 0, W. Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. B. Harding, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bailey, Miss Edna Decker and Mr. O. R, Thomas. Mrs. Harding remained In Salt Lake over Monday to attend the concert given in the Salt Lake tabernacle by the Philharmonic Orchestra, during which time she wasthe guest of Mrs. Jubal A. .Hale. The rest of the party returned Sunday evening. - Bridal Shower Given Miss Flava Penrod and Miss Josephine Single-ton- gave a shower at the home of Miss Florence Elliott Tuesday eve. in honor of Miss Mary Coltrln, whose marriage wiU take place In the near future. A program, gamea and a daintily prepared luncheon, which was carried out in a pink and white color scheme were enjoyed.
