Show MUiara woumv 2nd Annual Delta City Grand Prix The Sugarloafcrs are planning ihe 2nd Annual Delia City Grand Prix We are asking for input or questions the residents might have about the event The race will be on Saturday April 23 from 9:00 a m to 3:00 pm We plan to run the exact same course as last year and there will also be a short motorcycle parade on Main Street just prior to the start The Sugarloafers are grateful for the Court Report Fourth District The following actions took place in Fourth District Court Millard County Court House Fillmore Utah on January 27th 1994 Judge Anthony W Schofield presided Jesse Charles Simpkins appeared in custody for Sentencing on charges of Sexual Abuse of a Child a 2nd degree felony and Attempted Sexual Abuse of a Child a 3rd degree felony Court reviewed the presentence investigative report prepared by Adult Probation and Parole State argued that Simpkins is not amenable to treatment because of his history and minimization of offenses “In the long run society is the victim in this case" said Millard County Deputy Attorney Dexter Anderson Public defender David Leavitt argued for a evaluation “It’s not going to harm society one bit to place him in the diagnostic unit" Defendant admitted that he was embarrassed and humiliated But I' ve tried to be as honest as possible My only bad attitude was the difficulty I had in discussing this” Court committed defendant to the Department of Corrections for a diagnostic evaluation before sentencing Matter continued to April 21st - Lester Brent Cropper appeared for a Review Slate alleged defendant had failed to comply with certain agreed terms with state of Utah and “not moving as quickly as State would have liked” through the Intermountain Sexual Abuse Treatment Center Mr Cropper stated that he had paid his portion of the evaluation costs and was wailing for his insurance company to send their copayment "The loose ends are yours to resolve " stated the Court warning that defendant must be more aggressive in completing his plea bargain stipulations The matter was continued for further hearing to February 24th If appropriate steps have been taken the matter may be stricken from that calendar -
