That are husband and wife, having liern your married at latrainie, W yoming oil the 28th day of Deeemlier, I'Kil; that ymir H'titioner Delano Christopher llapguod is 35 years of age, and ymir petitioner Darla Dee Hapgood is 29 years of age, and that the petitioner Darla Dee llapgood is the natural mother of the aliove-nauieminors, Barbara Dawn Baker and Roi Lynn Baker. 2. That Barliara Dawn Baker is 9 years old, having tieen Ixim July 7, 1959, and that Roi Lynn Baker is 8 years old, having lieen Ixirn thtolxr 18, 1980. 3. Tli.it the said minor children are residents of Tooele County, State of I'tah, and have lieen residents with ymir petitioners at 3S1 West 1st Avenue, Dugway, Utah, since June of 198L 4. That the natural father of said minor children is Roliert Elmo Raker, who to the lies! knowledge of the petitioners and last address known to the petitioners, was the United States Army; that on or alxnit Decemlier of 1963, the said father of the aliove-name- d minors deserted and alundoned said minor children and ever since suih time has failed to supMrt said minors, even thmigh he has the capacity so to do; that in fact the father of said Illinois has supplied no monies to supMrt said children as set out liv the divorce decree of the petitioner Darla Dee llapgood, and the natural father; that the natural father has never contacted the said children or their mother since Decemlier of 1983, and has in fact and in law deserted and abandoned said minor children for that period of time. 5. That on Septemlier 6, 1961, your petitioner Darla Dee IIaignod, received a decree of divorce from the said Roliert Elmo Baker and it was decreed that she should have the sole care, custody and control of the said minor children. 6. That ymir petitioners are desirous that the petitioner, Christopher llapgood lie permitted to adopt the said minor children, Barbara Dawn Baker and Roi Lynn Baker. 7. That your petitioners feel that it is for the liest interest and welfare of said minor children that they lie adopted by the petitioner Delano Christopher llapgood and that the said minor children have voluntarily expressed their desire that they lie adopted liv the petitioner, Delano Christopher llapgood. 8. That your petitioner Delano Christopher llapgood, is in good health and is gainfully employed as a computer analyst for the Deseret Test Center at Dugway, Utah, and has a regular income in excess of $10, (XXI per year; that your petitioners are renting the home at '381 West 1st Avenue, Dugway, Utah, and claim that they can give the financial, spiritual and affectionate care to which said minor children are entitled and your petitioner, Delano Christopher llapgood, states that he has acquired a love and affection for said children to the extent that he stands ready and willing to accept said children in all res sects as if they were his children by birth and he wishes to assume all of the rights, and lie subject to, all of the duties toward said minor children that such a relationship of parent and child requires. WHEREAS, your petitioners pray that the almve-eutitle- d court: 1. Enter an order fixing the day for hearing and directing the manner and form of notice to lie given to interested parties relative to the hearing of desertion and abandonment by the natural fdther of the said minor children. 2. That on the day for said hearing the court, upon the giving of proper evidence, enter its order declaring said children deserted and abandoned by their natural father. to have 3. That the court enter its order fixing the date for hearing and directing the manner and form of the notice to be given to interested parties relative to the hearing of the petition for adoption herein. 4. That on the day fixed for the hearing of the adoption herein, but following proper evidence having been introduced, the court enter its order declaring said minor children, Barbara Dawn Baker and Roi Lynn Baker, to lie adopted by the petitioner, Delano Christopher llapgood, and further enter its order that the said minor childrens names be changed to Barbara Dawn llapgood and Roi Lynn Hapgood.
