The company reports that indicated reserves are about twice the size of the company's Silver Bell copper mine in Arizona. Based on published figures ,the East Prima reserves must now be about tons of ore, assaying between 0.90 and 1.00 percent copper, according to Mining World. 'Those for Silver Bell were tons of 0.90 percent ore ore when mining started. Actually the Silver Bell ore averaged 0.- 93 percent copper for the first ,218,000 tons mined from March 1, 1954 through July 1, 1956. The East Pima area about 15 miles south of Tucson is where ASARCO recently paid $1,066,-007.for mineral rights on three tracts totalling 15,000 acres of Papago Indian Reservation kind. ASARCO has been exploring these tracts by surface drilling since its bid was accepted in May. ASARCO also controls mining claims south of the Indian Tracts and north of claims of the Pima Mining Company which mine is operating an open-p- it flotation and mill. It was in this area that ASARCO made its original discovery and has carried out a long program of diamond, churn, and rotary drilling from the surface. 65,-000,- 32,-000,- 000 000 04 ay sand-shal- e ot holds considerable pro- er mise.
