He is very active in the school band. A model evening for Fred would be a meal of artichokes with all the trimmings, and then an evening of dancing. And girls, for those who are interested, here is what he looks for in a girl. She must not be too tall, she must have a good sense of humor and be very friendly, she must have a good personality and be a good dancer. SONNY SAYS Lions Play Host Fumbling Dons To BY High Cats Lose to Cats The High Cats took On Payson Grid The Payson Lions will be host to the Brigham Young High School Wildcats today in the Lions' stadium at 2:30 p.m. The game between the Lions and the Wildcats is going to be a very decisive one. Neither team has lost a game. The Payson Lions are now on top of the league as they have three wins and no losses. They are closely followed by B. Y. High and American Fork. They each have three wins, one tie and no losses. This game will either make or break the Wildcats. The Brigham Young eleven have been injury ridden since the first of the season, but in spite of the fact, they have turned in a very impressive record up to date. The Wildcats have never beaten the Lions on the Payson field, but a spirited B. Y. team will be seen today fightinng for a victory. Last year the Wildcats beat Payson in the B. Y. Cougar stadium. We have had several injuries, but I feel that if we have our team back in full force by this game we can beat them. by Earl Bumingham The football team of Brigham Young University Hgh School looks as if it could be headed for a big year in regional and possibly state competition. The studentbody has really been supporting the team in all their home games, but now the games which the team will play are all away games, and the team really needs support. The pep club and the cheer leaders are doing a good job, so lets all get out and help. n The Wildcats of B. Y. High defeated the Lincoln Tigers for the first time in history Friday, Oct. 2, in the BYU stadium with a score of . The win was really a booster for the team towards a chance for the region victory. The following week in a Wednesday game B. Y. High tied in the BYU American Fork stadium. The Wildcat touchdown was made in the first 25 seconds ol the game when Brent Brock-banran 61 yards for the TD on a sleeper play. The extra point was made by Jack Clarke. 12-7- 7-- 7 k Games Resume B. Y. High's Wildcats held the balance of wins after their first three games of the football sea- son. The first game was with Lehi which the Wildcats won 27-- with Bob Snell, Legrande Young, Wayne Flygare and Cecil Clark going over the goal line for the tallies. Jack Clarke made three of the four tries for the extra points. The next game was with the MUlard Eagles. The Wildcats lost this game by a score of , but fought hard to try and win the game against the defending state champions. The Wildcats chalked up their second victory after a hard fought game with the Springville Red Devils. The final score of . the game was 0 19-0- 13-0- |
