Show r i obituary 1 e 9 P F GRECO P F greco who until the past few years was a resident of richfield died monday in burley idaho the body will be brought to richfield friday morning for interment ter ment friends may call at the home of mr and mrs airs joseph hansen friday morning until time of funeral services the funeral will be held at 2 p m friday in the third waid chapel with bishop alex jensen in charge mr greco a brother in law of mr hansen has made frequent trips to richfield since lie he moved to idaho several of the greco family have died since they left richfield and all of them have been brought here for burial 0 VIRTUE LEAH BLACKBURN funeral services were held tuesday at loa for mrs virtue leah compton blackburn 93 eldest resident of wayne county and an d widow of patriarch elias H blackburn who died at the home of a daughter mrs charles P of salina after a brief illness mrs airs blackburn a direct descendant ant of british royalty and a utah pioneer was born bom december 21 1844 in norwich norford county bounty england a daughter of stephen and ann gadman crompton she joined the L D S church in her native land came to america and walked across the plains arriving arriving in salt lake in 1861 in 1862 she was married to eltas elias H blackburn burn in the salt lake endowment house her husband was the first bishop of provo later they were called to help settle I 1 minersville Miners ville and here most of her nine children were born bom masl blackburn had bad lived at loa the past 57 years leaving only eight months ago to reside with her daughter in salina she had served as first counselor in the wayne stake primary 20 years and in various other church capacities surviving mrs blackburn are five sons and a daughter joseph C blackburn of salt lake howard F william seth H and dan stephen blackburn of loa and mrs harriet B of salina twenty eight grandchildren 82 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren survive 0 ADELINE HAWES funeral services were held sunday afternoon in the marysvale Marys vale ward chapel for mrs adeline C hardy hawes 71 who died of heart trouble at her home in marysvale Marys vale november 24 bishop fred A con foisey musical numbers included ducted the services speakers were samuel L page and ivan L selections by the choir a duet duct by mr and mrs airs J W robinson a 0 vocal solo by mr roberts of antimony a vocal solo by haws aws smoot a grandson and a vocal solo by imars mrs swain of monroe interment was in the thompsonville Thomp sonville cemetery mrs airs hawes was born bom kugust august 30 1866 at beaver a daughter of louis and jane hardy the family moved to circleville Cir cleville in 1873 and to marysvale Marys vale in 1881 she was married to george R hawes february 12 1881 they lived at tombstone arizona six years before returning to marysvale Marys vale to make their home mr air hawes died december 19 1932 surviving are arc four daughters 11 mrs rs clara peterson mrs airs lillie williams and mrs daisy taylor of and mrs edna smoot of antimony 13 grand hildren children six sisters and two broth ers |
