PAGE 8 "The" Game 9 Last Seconds Thriller! By Holly Willden - What can happen in the last Wz seconds of a basketball game? Well if you missed the Milford vs. Panguitch game you would be surprised! With the last 13VS seconds left, the Tigers were up by one point, ). Panguitch took the ball to the other end of the court. One shot no good, two shots no good, third shot good. The buzzer rings. Panguitch started to take the floor and celebrate, but the Tigers insisted that before the buzzer went off. The Tigers they had called a time-owere rewarded the time-oand one second was put on the clock. After the time-ou- t, Clayton Williams attempted to make a to perfect pass Brady Williams, who was standing near the Tiger basket. The pass did not succeed, because Brady was pushed out of the way by a Bobcat, before the ball even got to him. The foul was called, and Brady went to the foul line to shoot one and one. First shot good, the game is tied Second shot good. The are now still lefton the score second one with one Tigers up by clock. Panguitch throws the ball in, but it is knocked out by the Tigers. This lowered the time to 0.06 seconds. The Bobcats again had possession of the ball but the ball was thrown out of bounds. The ball was given to the Tigers. The time ran out and the Tigers won the game, Brady Williams lead the scoring with 32 points. Kent Sullivan scored 18, Craig Wiseman 14, Clayton Williams 5, and Craig Barnes 2. The Tournament lasted two days with each team playing three games. On Friday the Tigers played the Panguitch Bobcats. They played a good game, but they were not able to keep up with the Bobcats. On Saturday morning the Tigers took on the Valley- Buffaloes. This game was a success. The Tigers were to then come back later that evening to play the Bryce Valley Mustangs. This game would be the consolation championship (fourth place). This game was also a success. GREAT JOB GUYS! The Varsity team will be going to region this week. Their first be Thursday, March 6, at 5:15 against the Wayne Badgers. will game be hosted at SUU.
