Alvey Celebrates 90th ESCALANTE Wanless Alvey will celebrate his 90th birthday birth-day December 18, 1993. An open house is planned for Saturday, Dec. 18, 1993 from 2 until un-til 4 p.m. at 706 Escalante Drive, Bloomington, Utah. Wanless was born Dec. 18, 1903 in Escalante to Thomas and Marcia Alvey. He attended all his schooling in Escalante, residing there his entire life. He married Dcna Roundy. They were the parents par-ents of five daughters. For most of his life he owned and operated Alvey's Cafe and Motel Mo-tel and a construction business and sawmill. He spends winters in St. George and summers in Escalante with daughter, Clorcne Vidrine.
