WASHINGTON, Aug:. 7 (UP) The securities exchange commission commis-sion announced today it had filed a bill against E. L. Cord, chairman of the board of Cord corporation, and Morris Markin, former president presi-dent of Checker Cab Manufacturing corporation, to enjoin them permanently from allegedly violating the antimanipulative sections of the securities exchange act. The proceeding was started in the U. S. district court at Chicago. Ths bill aJlej ed Cord and Markin manipulated securities of Checker Cab, Parsiele Transportation company com-pany and Chromf Yellow Cab Company, Com-pany, Inc. In addition, ths bill charged that Cord also manipulat-sd manipulat-sd the stock of Auburn Automobile company. Shortly after the SEC made the announcement, tha commission received re-ceived word that th defendants consented to the entry of a decree f ranting; the demands of ths commission. com-mission.
