He attended the school of Midway and then the Wasatch Stake Academy at Hebe'r. After completing his education there he was bookkeeper of the Peoples Store at Heber for four years. Then for two years he war store manager of the Midway after which he served two years ai cashier and bookkeeper of the Sal Lake office of the Studebaker Bros later, being promoted to traveling auditor for that concern in Utah Idaho and Wyoming. He served in that capacity for two vears and then came to Provo In 1898, where he established a vehicle business which he continued until 1913. In connection with this business he es. tablished In 1909 in Provo tha first automobile agency south of Salt Lake City. He discontinued that business in 1921 when he went Into the city and farm loan business-- in which he is still engaged.'
