To all appearances it gives the Impression that everybody is hav-Jp- g a swell time at Uncle Sam's xpense. However, nothing is further from the truth, for holding together the remnants of what once tyas the greatest Air Force in the World is the grim business of the jLir Reserve. No Black Cats? various cities and composed of air reserve officers and enlisted men. Established as "paper" units they eventually progress from that status to fully trained and equipped tactical units, ready for immediate mobilization. Supplementing the air reserve units are composite squadrons which are being organized in many cities and towns. These squadrons provide unit training for reservists who have not been able to find vacancies in the tactical units. Training of reservists will be accomplished within these squadrons, along the same lines as any other unit, with differences in training equipment only. The air reserve training program will be brought directly to the individual, and ev ery individual will be assigned to an organization. The future of the Air Reserve is surrounded by a rosey hue. Increased interest and . enthusiasm has added to the potentialities of this program. Former members of a team with a terrific wallop, the reservists are still devoting part of their time to keeping the same power-packe- d punch, ready and able!
