WALK FOR 21 CHEERS FOR 21 YEARS REGISTRATION Registration is now open for People’s Health Clinic’s Walk for 21 Cheers for 21 Years fundraiser. Due to COVID-19 the nonprofit isn’t able to host its annual Walk and Wine for Women’s Health this year, so it will present a new event where community members can walk a total of 21 miles in 21 days between Aug. 1 and Aug. 21 at their own pace and convenience. Registration deadline is July 31. Registration fee is $21 for individuals and $75 for families of four or more. All registrants will receive a free meditation mat, and will be entered for six two-month passes to Silver Mountain Sports Club. SUMMIT COUNTY FAIR’S FINE ARTS EXHIBIT SUBMISSIONS Although the Summit County Fair will cancel some of its programming this year, the annual Fine Arts Exhibit will go on, albeit virtually on the fair and the Park City Summit County Arts Council’s websites. Artists can now submit high resolution jpegs or pngs of their works that include paintings, photographs, sculptures and more by emailing admin@pcscarts.org. Deadline is July 31. The exhibit will be online three days from Aug. 6-Aug. 8. While traditional ribbons will not be distributed this year, the Summit County Council will select one adult-made work and one youth-created work for the Summit County Fine Arts Collection. Rockwell Cocktail Lounge and Music Hall will kick start a new monthly wine, food and music series on Saturday with The Rock Presents Wine & BBQ, an Evening of Organic and Biodynamic Wines by the Famille Perrin. Music will be performed by Lumbersax Fabulous, food will be prepared by Jason Greenburg and Katie Babcock from local restaurant Nosh, and the wines will be supplied by the Famille Perrin. The event will adhere to COVID-19 social distancing protocols. Kick-off event with Lumbersax Fabulous scheduled for Saturday Ticket prices for each event are arranged in tiers, Woodman said. A $25 ticket will allow entry for the live music. Saturday’s performance will be by Lumbersax Fabulous, which is a variant lineup of the local trio Lumberjack Fabulous. “Even the musicians, themselves, will be spread out 6 feet apart on the stage, as well,” she said. “And the stage is where we do the Nashville Unplugged performances.” A $40 ticket will allow entry for the concert, and include a three-course dinner created by Chef Jason Greenburg and Katie Babcock from local restaurant Nosh, Woodman said. Saturday’s menu will include a choice of smoked St. Louis ribs or grilled barbecue chicken, a choice of pickled red-cabbage slaw or broccoli salad with cranberries and toasted almonds, baked biscuits with whipped honey butter and mustard-potato salad. There will also be vegan and vegetarian options, according to Woodman. An additional $25 will add on wine pairings, she said. “We will feature three wines from the Famille Perrin that will be paired with the food,” Woodman said. The wines are a white blend from the Adelaida District in Paso Robles, California; a rosé from Cotes de Provençe, France, and a red from Rhone Valley, France. “All the wines are crisp, summery SCOTT IWASAKI The Park Record The O.P. Rockwell Cocktail Lounge and Music Hall is throwing a series of beverage and live music events that will start with a backyard barbecue without the backyard. The Rock Presents Wine & BBQ, an Evening of Organic and Biodynamic Wines by the Famille Perrin will kick off the series at 8 p.m. on July 25, said Xania V. Woodman, O.P. Rockwell’s bar manager and lead bartender. Next month will showcase local spirits from Waterpocket, High West and Alpine distilleries. September’s event will focus on bourbon in honor of National Bourbon Heritage Month and October will highlight local wines from Old Town Cellars.
