GEORGE, UTAH DIXIE COLLEGE, THE DIXIE SUN Everyones friend and hcl(icr. excellent at giving readings, gal with high ideals this describes g our Alary La Ree McAllister. ever-lovin- Our personalily of this week is that ever ambitious Mary La Ree' McAllister. She was born in Kanab, Utah 17 years ago and has grown into the charming, sweet and likeable gal that we know today. She has a bubbling personality of fun and laughter and that is why she fits the position of Commissioner of Amusements for the Freshman Class. About two years ago she came to sunny St. George; leaving the snow bound city of Salt Lake City. She likes Dixie for these reasons: the warm weather, the wonderful spirit, everyones friendliness, and the opportunities provided for the students. Some of the activities that Mary La Ree is now taking part in are: F.H.A., The Pep Club, F.B.L.A., and dramatics. If you hear anyone going through the saying creeps, don't be alarmed, its just Mary La Ree using her favorite password. Her pet peeve is people who use vulger language. Because she is in tops everything, she has been chosen as personality of the week. halls KNOW YOUR SOCIABILITY COMMITTEE The Sociability Committee is group of students with representatives from each class. These boys under the coaching of coaches Brooks and Smith will participate in tennis as well as track and field events. This year not too many fellows turned out for track, but the few who did have made a swell showing. In recent years the boys have brought several honors and awards home from the Provo meet; there is little doubt but that they will bring home the bacon again.
