Mrs. Curtis Stevens re-viewed the book, "Let Love Come Last," by Taylor Caldwell. Mem-bers attending were Mrs. Charles Ryser, Mrs. David Hatch, Mrs. Fred Bauer,' Mrs. Keith Otteson. Mrs. Taul Heath, Mrs. Benson Hathaway, Mrs. Curtis Stevens. Special guests were Mrs. Marvin Simmons, and her mother, Mrs. Grace Allphin, of Lovell, Wyom-ing, and Mrs. Neta Day. Birthday Dinners Feature Wilford Stake 6th Birthday Just six years ago, the Wilford Stake became the 183rd stake in the L.D.S. Church. To celebrate the occasion each of the eight wards in the Stake is arranging for "Birthday Dinners" on Febru-ary 8, or 9. In the Cummings Ward, the dinner will be held February. 9. in the recreation hall. A good program' has been outlined and fun for all is expected. Bishop Wayne Haslani, and his counselors Kenneth Young and Kent McCle-lland have been arranging the fes-tive occasion. Ogden was her home town; where she was born to William Arthur Wright and Bertha Eccles Wright. As a child her life was eventful for her folks moved east, traveled to Europe, where they lived, for a time, and returned to live in New York. In both places Vida attended school. Later the family returned to Utah and Vida chose the University of Utah for her college years. A talented child, she began her training for a professional career in ballet at the age of ten. She studied with the Italian Maestro, Stefano Mascagno, with Ruth St. Denis and Ted Shawn in Calif. Bluebird' Girls Entertain'Teacher The Bluebird Girls of the Cum-mings Ward Primary gave a sur-prise birthday party for their teacher Mrs. Gardner Duffin, Thursday, January 31. The girls In the class are Judy Strong, Mer-ia- m Manson, Joyce Nielsen, Susan Heath, Becky Tennant, Geraldine Jensen, Ann Fisher, Sandra Thomas. They gave Mrs. Duffin a lovely white Bible Cake and ice cream was enjoyed by all. Las Vegas Visitors . . . Mr. and Mrs. Mac Voorhees and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Abernethy en-joyed a much needed vacation at Las Vegas, this past weekend. The Voorhees children, Bill, Susan, and Nancy were well cared for while their parents were away by their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Farr, from Gunnison, Utah. The ball will feature a live or-chestra to provide music for the party. Highlighting the evening will be the choosing of a queen.
