Show BYU Journalism Conference Four hundred high school ; : Vearbook end v newspaper ; staff members from .across the state of Utah will meet at Brigham Young University Sept. 17 for the 45th annual Utah High SchopUournalism and v Publications Confer- " ence. , , t .. .. Dallas Burnett, coordinator of -the conference for- the Department of Communica- . tions. In addition to the. keynote event, there will be career sessions and special workshops work-shops to help the high school yearbook and- newspaper workers. v One of the career sessions will feature Richard L. Bjorn. president of the Utah Press Association and publisher of the, Salt Lake Times. Mr. ' Bjorn will outline career challenges and opportunities , m the weekly and community newspaper field. Other career car-eer sessions will deal with women in journalism, maga- r zine journalism, photojourn- L alism, newspaper advertising, advertis-ing, broadcast journalism, and work with the wire services. Career sessions and workshops work-shops will be conducted by professionals from throughout through-out the state and the BYU campus. |
