it wa soup or since an unpleasant at a hotel in a little town up in iowa a short time ago I 1 have mado it a rule to always tako soup at thia hotel 1 answered in the negative when asked by the fair waitress if I 1 would havo coup there was no one else in alio room at the ehno but pretty eoon another gentleman camo in and sat down was asked the usual question and he responded in the affirmative and got his soup the girl then left tho dining room and did not return I 1 thought ft strange eha did not take my order for dinner but wait was all in vain and after I 1 had boon waiting for 20 minutes or half an hour ehe stuck her head out through two cupboard doors opening from the kitchen and cried out dinner is over I 1 went without my dinner while the other maa got bis boup from what I 1 learned of this hotel afterward this was the regular menu for each day at dinner and 1 further learned that the proprietor wae a vegetarian cor st louis globo democrat
